The author
Sarah Fjellanger, born in southwestern Minnesota, had grandparents who immigrated from Norway in the late 1800s. Fascinated by stories told of these pioneers, she took on the challenge later in life to obtain a degree in creative writing. Now she writes about the young who were caught up in the rapid historical changes over which they had no control; a time when only the true warriors among them survived.
Sarah fills her spare time with reading, writing, travel, family, volunteering, and finger-knitting blankets for those in need.
